Tiimo Newsroom

Stay up to date with the latest news, media coverage, and industry recognition as Tiimo continues to redefine planning for neurodivergent people.

Why we built Tiimo

Tiimo was founded in 2015 by Helene Lassen Nørlem and Melissa Würtz Azari, two women set on fixing what productivity tools got wrong. Melissa, late diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia, knew the struggle firsthand – traditional planners weren’t built for the way she processed information. Helene, with a background in inclusive design, saw the same flaws. Instead of helping, these tools created more friction.

So they built something better. Not a rigid system, but a flexible, visual planner designed for real people. What started with ADHD quickly grew, because no single approach works for everyone. Structure is important, but so is adaptability. Tiimo brings both, offering focus timers, smart checklists, and intuitive reminders that support without overwhelming.

Nearly a decade later, Tiimo is used by hundreds of thousands of people in 168 countries. This isn’t a trend for us, It’s the work we’ve been doing from the start. With €4.8 million in funding and recognition from Apple, Fast Company, and the Blaze Inclusion Awards, Tiimo is proving what we’ve always believed: when you design for accessibility, you create something better for everyone.

Our mission

A person in a beige cap and white shirt is placing a framed poster with the text ‘A world of equal opportunity for all neurotypes’ on a wooden shelf. The poster has a warm orange background, with two additional framed illustrations featuring abstract, vibrant designs visible beside it.

We’re redefining planning for the 1.6 billion people that traditional tools leave behind. Built for ADHD’ers, Autistic folks, and anyone who thrives with flexible, visual support, Tiimo proves that accessibility is better design. When planning adapts to real brains, it works for everyone. Our mission: make time management effortless, intuitive, and accessible.
