New Widgets (iOS)
All the parts of your day within Tiimo, available at a glance on your homescreen
All the parts of your day within Tiimo, available at a glance on your homescreen
Now you won’t need to go into the Tiimo app to see or interact with your schedule and notes - you can see them all from your home screen.
We are excited to introduce 3 new widgets, that each represent a different view of your day in Tiimo. They are available in different sizes so you can easily find the configuration that works best for your needs and that also fits in with your home screen. A tap of the widget will take you into that particular view within the app, which allows you to quickly interact with your checklists or pause or start activities. Let's take a closer look!

Get in your zone with the focus timer! This widget focuses on the ‘Right now’ view & shows the activity that you are doing at the moment (or what is up next), the focus timer and a countdown.

This widget allows you to see all your plans in one place. It shows both your ‘scheduled’ activities and ‘to do anytime’ activities for the day on the one interface - and you can choose which one you want displayed first on the widget.
Image text: The Notes widget (dark mode) in two sizes
See all your notes and add new ones. We know the notes feature is popular with users - this allows you to view your existing to dos from your homescreen, and interact with them by checking them off. You can also quickly braindump future activities into your notes by clicking on the + key.
We’ve found the widgets help us to stay on track and get even more out of our day - we hope that you find them equally useful!
Note for Android users: Thanks as always for your support and patience. As is common with all development for Tiimo, we start with building new features for iOS as opposed to Android. This allows us to bring new features out faster and also learn quickly what works and doesn’t work. As Android development and debugging is much more tricky (you are essentially developing for over 13k different devices), creating on iOS first helps to shortcut a lot of the process and lets our Android developer build faster. Currently Android users can add the 'Right Now' widgets to your homescreen, and we are looking at whether it is possible to develop the other two widgets.
This feature is a great example of how we take onboard comments from our users, and how they really help to shape development of the app. If you have any suggestions for new features that you would like to see in Tiimo, please let us know through our suggestions board. It is also a good place to see suggestions from other users, and you can upvote your favourites.
