There is a new Tiimo app and it comes with important new fixes, a more seamless user experience, and a super flexible development platform - meaning we’ll be ready to roll-out the exciting new features you’ve been asking for much sooner than within the old app.
We know that a lot of our wonderful users are sensitive to transitions and also very visual. So, in order to support people in this journey, we’ve created a PDF that summarises the main visual changes in the new app. We’re so excited for you to try and out, and welcome any feedback right here.
Most of the changes that were made were to make the app run faster, and to ‘clean-up’ our backend (the place where our developers and designers code). Visually, you’ll also notice a couple of key changes. Based on participatory design processes and feedback collected over the course of the old apps two-year lifespan, we settled on a circular timer. Our users wanted a design that was more similar to a clock, as well as align with the shape of many other digital time-keeping tools. The colour scheme has also been slightly update, and we’ve tried to make all of our screens more simple and visually pleasing. We know that a lot of our wonderful users are sensitive to transitions and also very visual. So, in order to support people in this journey, we’ve created a visual that summarises the main visual changes in the new app. Check it out below!

This app is a significant step in allowing our development team to make the app extremely adaptable, fast, and able to serve those users as best as possible.
Our CEO Helene Lassen Nørlem has a special message for those of our users making the transition from our old app: ‘first of all, thank you to so many of you for being with us from the beginning. It’s been a huge learning curve, from creating a prototype during my master’s thesis, to trying to build a product that does right by our thousands of users in over 55 countries. This app is a significant step in allowing our development team to make the app extremely adaptable, fast, and able to serve those users as best as possible.’
If you have any feedback or concerns about the changes, please feel very free to reach out as always. You can do so right here.
